Originally conceived in the French Marquisas, this remarkable initiative has now made its way to Margaret River, becoming the first non-French-speaking region in the world to embrace this program. The EMA program aims to nurture a global community of ocean custodians, and we are proud to be a part of this inspiring movement. Together, we can make a difference!
Exciting developments are already underway. Just last week, our dedicated Australian custodians of Gnarabup Back Beach's EMA organized a video meeting with EMA custodians from the Reunion Island, located on the other side of the Indian Ocean. The virtual gathering provided a unique opportunity to learn from one another, exchanging insights and experiences.
During the session, our friends from Reunion Island showcased their incredible projects, including turtle rescue initiatives, beach re-vegetation efforts, and raising public awareness. Inspired by their counterparts, the students from Margaret River Primary School eagerly introduced their own EMA and shared fascinating discoveries made during their exploration phase.
The power of diversity and collaboration truly shines through in moments like these. By sharing their experiences, our young explorers have broadened their perspectives and gained a profound understanding of the far-reaching impact of their projects. It is truly remarkable to witness such achievements at such a young age!
Our heartfelt wish is for these enthusiastic students to spread the news far and wide, fully embrace their EMA experience, and inspire others to join the cause. Let's cultivate a generation of passionate environmental stewards who champion the protection and preservation of our oceans and marine life. Together, we can create a brighter and more sustainable future. 🌍✨
