Our program fosters a unique connection between coastal managers and the next generation, empowering kids to envision real solutions and take action for our shores. 🧒🌿
🌟 Recently, we had the privilege of hosting David Lierich from the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attraction. His enlightening discourse shed light on the meticulous monitoring of human activity along our beloved coastlines and the Ngari Capes Marine Park. David emphasized the importance of ethical fishing practices, responsible boating conduct, and tackling the plastic waste menace through thoughtful initiatives. 🎣🛶🚮
🌊 The Augusta-Margaret River Shire Rangers also joined our endeavor, sharing their insights into sustainable coastal practices. Their efforts include carefully designed walking paths to minimize disruption to indigenous flora, informative campaigns to educate dog owners about responsible waste disposal, and the promotion of responsible rubbish disposal. 🌿🐕🗑️
Armed with this knowledge, our students become stewards of their Educational Marine Area (EMA) and beyond. This program has launched this year through our partnership with Nature Conservation Margaret River 🌏💙 #CoastalConservation #EmpoweredYouth #SustainableShores
